We are trying to do a lien sale on a Travel Trailer but cannot find the VIN help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ANSWER: Greetings thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
Normally you can find the VIN stamped on the Trailer Hitch. If you do not locate it there you can try looking in the areas listed below.
1. Inside the cabinets of the RV. May be on the cabinet door or one of the inside cabinet walls.
2. Check around the entrance door of the travel trailer. Might be a sticker on the door frame.
3. Check the whole exterior of the RV. There may a sticker or plate that has the VIN on it.
4. Check all the paperwork you have on the RV. You will be surprised where the VIN ends up on this paperwork. Look for service or repair paperwork as they may have the VIN on it.
If all else fails you may want to contact Forest River who manufactures Surveyor Travel Trailers. You can call them at 574-389-4600.
Hope this helps.
