Where Is The Auxiliary - House Battery On A 1985 Winnebago?
by Dave
(Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
I have a 1985 34' Class A Winnebago Elandan. I have the manual which gives rather ambiguous information on the location of the auxiliary battery and I have hunted through this vehicle but can't find it.
I have checked all exterior side compartments, under the hood, the rear storage/tire area and under every openable compartment inside the RV. Nothing! But, I have a battery switch on the console and metering for two different batteries that both work. Any help out there would be great!
Thanks!
ANSWER: Greetings Dave thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
Well you have looked in a lot of places, but there is one that you have not mentioned checking and that is under the steps leading into your RV.
When you open up the door to enter your RV there is usually 1 or 2 steps. If you pull up on the step you will find that it is a hinged compartment and that is where you will find your Motorhome's house batteries (I hope)
