We have a 1998 Coachmen Leprechaun motorhome and the RV place is really expensive for brakes. Is there somewhere else that replaces brakes on motorhomes? We live in Orlando, Florida
Greetings Mindi thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that you do not have to take your motorhome to an RV repair shop to get your brakes repaired or replaced. Any competent mechanic can replace or repair your brakes.
The bad news is that it will probably cost more than you expected simply because repairing or replacing the brakes on a motorhome is more labor-intensive then replacing or repairing the brakes on a car. So the higher price you are paying is not for the parts; it is to cover the additional labor.
I hope that this information has been helpful to you.
