Where Can I Get A Used Entry Door For My Travel Trailer?

Where can I find a used entry door for my 2001 Sierra Travel Trailer?

ANSWER: Hi Norma, finding a used Entry Door that will fit your Travel Trailer is not going to be an easy task.

The first thing I would do is look for a salvage yard in your area that may have RVs in their yard that might have an RV with the same door as yours.

You should also look at the Used RV Doors Available on eBay
and you might be lucky enough to find one there.

used replacement door for 1999 Terry Resort 5th wheel
by: Liz

Hi, I'm looking desperately for an gently used replacement door for an 1999 Terry Resort, 26 feet, The last Wind storm ripped mine apart and I can't even close it anymore. I don't have too much money to pay more for shipping then the door itself and would like to find one in my neighborhood if at all possible. I'm 73 years old and don't have a regular income other then just the lousy Social Security. I would like any help that I can get as to where I can pick one up if there should be one such door running around out there. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem on a '79' class C, the old door wasn't insulated and was falling apart, and I couldn't find another one. I finally took it apart and discovered that I could rebuild it without trouble and insulate it at the same time. I replaced two rotted frame members, reinforced the other joints and added 1" foam insulation to the middle. Total cost...about $10.00 and 8 hours labor. Mine was build just like a hollow-core door in your house, but with aluminum cladding instead of wood.

Getting a Used Door
by: Anonymous

We are in the same predicament.
First, I would call to the RV dealers in your area. Some of them may be able to help you. If that doesn't work, try this website: http://www.ericksonsrv.com/. They seem to have a lot. I don't know where you live, so I don't know if you're anywhere close. I'm sure that shipping wouldn't be too much, and it might be worth it if you can't find anything. Hope that helps!
