We had our motor home in for some repair work, fixing cruise control and also our batteries froze over the winter. Now when we try to get the stereo to work all we get is the green light in the screen but no radio or CD player.
When we try to put in a CD it won't accept it so it is like there is no power to stereo. Any suggestions on where to look or what to do?
ANSWER: Greetings Gail thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but based on your description it sounds like you have an internal problem in the stereo itself. The fact that you have a green light showing up on the stereo when you turn it on means that the stereo is getting power, so we know that it is not something as simple as a blown fuse.
The only other issue that could be causing the problem you are experiencing is a possible bad or loose ground wire on the stereo. If it is grounded properly then you may end up having to buy a New Radio/CD Player for your RV which in most cases will end up being less expensive than trying to have someone repair your existing one.
I wish that I could have been the bearer of better news.
