I have a 2002 Jayco Cove park model trailer. When the water faucets are turned on or the toilet flushed there is a hummming noise that can be heard inside and outside the camper.
ANSWER: Thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
I am assuming that you are currently hooked up to City Water. I am also assuming that if your Park Model is equipped with a fresh water holding tank that you have checked to make sure that your water pump is shut off.
The noise you are hearing could be from excessive water pressure coming from the city water system you are connected to. Your particular model trailer does not come with a built-in City Water Pressure Regulator. If you have not installed one already, you might want to install one now.
By installing a Water Pressure Regulator you may eliminate the noise you are hearing as well as prevent damage to your trailer's fresh water system from excessive water pressure.
I hope this helps.
