RVing Florida State Parks
Editor's Note: This story was submitted on our Tell Us About Your Favorite RVing Destination Page.
These Florida State Parks are Not for the 30’ or land yachts but most 25’ and under RVs fit well. I’m extremely new to RVing, I have been a tent camper my whole life, but my body can’t handle that anymore. My 16’ foot travel trailer just purchased Dec 2018 will fit in most Florida State Park campsites but may be frowned upon in some RV resorts.
Adventures ahead! Little Talbot Island State Park, Anastasia Island State Park, Fort Clinch State Park are three northeast Florida gems. When you try to get reservations and see how booked up, they are you’ll see I’m not alone in my love of them. All are in dynamic locations with lots to do when not enjoying the campground's peace and quiet.
I'm taking advantage of Little Talbot and Anastasia this year but couldn’t find a time that worked at Fort Clinch. Anyone reading this who has info on better tactics than Reserve America online to get into these hard-to-get sites, please share.
I wonder if I walk-up to the ranger station, I might be able to get a site they set aside for that very scenario.
