My water pump is running but no water is coming out of the faucets and toilet not flushing. I loosened the hose on the discharge side of the pump and turned it on and water quickly came out. All the valves are open.
Also, when the pump is on and running, water is discharged out the water intake connection on the side of the trailer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ANSWER: Greetings Scott thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
Based on your description it sounds like the Check Valve on your City Water Connection is stuck open and letting the pump force water out of that connection.
The first thing you should try is hooking up a Drinking Water Hose to the city water connection and turning on a couple of faucets in the RV and let the water run for about 5 minutes to see if that will free up the check valve.
Now disconnect the hose and turn your water pump on and if water is still coming out of the connection with the pump on you will need to replace the City Water Connection Check Valve and that should solve your problem.
I hope this helps.
