I am having issues with my Onan 7000 generator on my 99 Coachman Catalina. I am getting no fuel to the Generator. I can force fuel in and it will start. Can anyone please help or give me some suggestions. Thanks.
Based on your description and age of your RV the most likely cause is that there is a problem with the fuel line leading from the generator to the fuel source. The first thing I would check for is a clogged fuel filter.
If the fuel filter/s is not clogged then you need to check the fuel line for any loose connections between the generator and the fuel source. You also need to carefully inspect the fuel line itself for any cracks, kinks or other damage that will not allow the fuel pump on your generator to draw the fuel through the fuel line.
If all of the above is OK then the problem could be with the fuel pump on the Generator itself not functioning properly, if that is the case your best bet is to take your RV in and have a Certified RV Technician take care of the problem.
I hope this helps.

Bypassed kinked lines and Gen shuts down by: Jimmy
I've identified kinked lines coming from the fuel tank and have bypassed them for trouble shooting purposes.
Replaced, the Carb, Fuel Filter and the Fuel The Generator will fire up and run very well for about 30 seconds, and then shuts down and a light blinks (3) times, indicating that the Generator needs to be serviced. I have a 2003 holiday Rambler with the Onan Microquiet 4000. I have plenty of fuel, but my patience is lacking. Any additional advice would be helpful

generator not getting fuel by: Anonymous
I have this problem, and today I disconnected the fuel line that connects to the fuel filter on the generator. I then added a 18 Inch line to the fuel filter and stuck it in a 2 gallon gas tank. After a couple of tries, the gennie started and ran and pumped fuel. Tommorow, I will start going over the fuel line from the tank to the gennie filter/pump. Anyone knoe if the gennie fuel line has some type of filter in the tank on the end of it?
Thanks Rick

RV Generator Not Getting Fuel by: Anonymous
what could be wrong if the fuel line is good, the fuel pump is new and working properly. is there something inside of the main tank that can be preventing the fuel to get to the generator.

RV Generator Not Getting Fuel by: RAISENMAN
I HAD A MOTORHOME AND IF YOU GET DOWN TO A QUARTER OF TANK OF GAS YOUR GENERATOR WILL SHUT DOWN THE REASON IS BECAUSE IF YOUR OUT WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE A GAS STATION YOU WILL HAVE THAT QUARTER OF GAS TO GET GAS SO WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL OR ALL THE WAY FULL THEN IT WILL WORK ALSO IF IT SAT FOR A WHILE NOT STARTED YOU MIGHT GIVE IT A SHOT OF STARTING FLUID HOPE THIS HELPS HAPPY RVING

no fuel for gen by: Anonymous
I agree with prev post but first thing to check is that motorhome has more than a quarter tank of fuel safely to ensure you can get to station to refill
