Our Favorite RV destination is Docweiler State Beach. It is nestled in Playa Del Ray Just north of Manhattan Beach in Southern California, in the Good Ol' US of A.
For the price, it is well worth it. Just the extraordinary views are worth the visit. You are actually parked right on the beach, with a walk and bike path that is a great bonus.
If you ride your bike north of Docweiler, you go through Marina Del Ray, Venice Beach, and to the Santa Monica Beach. Great Shops and Restaurants line the walk and bike path.
If you ride or walk to the south of Docweiler, you will go through Manhattan Beach, and end up in Redondo Beach. Some great Restaurants and shops that way also, and the wharf in Redondo has great fish markets, like Capt Kidds. GREAT SEAFOOD and Excellent Prices.
There is only one drawback, but easy to overcome, and it is that the RV park is right at the end of the Los Angeles Airport Runway. So airplanes will be going over all the time, but you get use to it, and don't even know they are there. I would highly recommend an RV trip there.
You can only make reservations there from 90 days in advance.
