We have a 2006 Alfa 5th wheel and when the one slide out is out it leaks in the bedroom when it rains. There is a small gap. Alfa is out of business, can anyone tell us what we can do?
ANSWER: Greetings Michael thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
The Slide Out Room on Your RV may need to be adjusted. This is something that should be done by a Certified RV Technician. This is not a do it yourselfer job because depending on the type of slide out you have there could be up to 6 different adjustments that need to be made in a particular order. If the slide out is adjusted wrong it can damage the slide out and your trailer.
You might also want to consider installing Slide Out Toppers on the Slide Outs on your trailer. These toppers keep debris and water off the top of your slide out roof and from coming inside the RV.
Installing a Slide Out Topper is actually a do-it-yourselfer job. You can watch the video below to see how easily these toppers are to install.
