Think about what you might like to eat when you are camping! Whether you are tent camping, using a cooler or you have a refrigerator in your RV or trailer, you can precook and freeze meats in individual portions. Taco Salads, Grilled Chicken Salads, Meatloaf dinners and more are extremely easy when all you have to do is thaw and reheat in the oven, on the stove or over a campfire.
Preshredding cheeses and slicing up the carrots and celery also save a great deal of time and effort, insuring lots of healthy additional to your meals. Wrap up just enough slices of bacon, individually, of course, and freeze them. They'll either thaw slowly or you can get out just what you need. For longer trips, precook and freeze ham, pork roast, spaghetti sauce.....the possibilities are endless!
