As you know, the LP tanks on my 1985 Pace Arrow are welded to my chassis. Is there such a thing as a kit that lets me run LP from portable tanks for convenience?
• Includes 3-port propane tee • Includes 12' hose • For use on motorhomes with a permanently installed tank • Allows for the connection of an additional appliance • Tee is made of heavy-duty brass and has built-in excess flow protection
"I bought this to use on my pop-up camper with my portable BBQ. Just put the "T" directly to your propane tank BEFORE the regulator. Then attach the regulator to the "T". Then connect the supplied gas line to whatever you would normally screw a disposable cylinder onto. Turn on the gas, and you're in business. In my case, it was my Portable Propane Grill. The grill has its own regulator which is why this unit is perfect. I learned the hard way that you can't put a regulated grill after a regulator on a propane tank. Now I don't need to mess around with my grill regulator, and I can still use it with the throw-away cylinders when I'm not hooking it up to my camper."
Once installed, you can use external Propane Tanks to provide propane to your RV. This way, you do not have to leave your campground to get propane.
Another advantage is you can also connect your Portable Propane BBQ Grill to your RV's Propane tanks using the same system.
The kit is do-it-yourselfer friendly. Watch the video below to see how simple it is to install.
