Will I Still Be Able To Receive TV In My 5th Wheel Trailer RV After June 12th?

Will I be able to obtain TV reception in my 5th wheeler after 6/12/09?

ANSWER Greetings Frank thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

Whether you will still be able to receive TV in your RV after the transition depends on the types of TVs you currently have in your 5th wheel. If your TVs are newer and have built-in digital tuners you will be fine.

If your TVs are older and only have analog tuners then you will need a Digital TV Converter Box such as the Tivax STB-T8 Digital to Analog TV Converter Box (Important Update The Tivax Digital TV Converter Box is now in short supply and is not always available, The Zinwell ZAT-970A Digital to Analog TV Converter Box is readily available and has all of the features of the Tvax Digital TV Converter Box and is also very highly rated by its owners) to continue using your old TVs. If your TVs are less than 2 years old; there is an excellent chance that they are equipped with a digital tuner as the government required that all TVs sold after March 1, 2007, had to have digital tuners.

Take a look at the specification section of your TVs Owner's Manual to determine if your TV is equipped with a digital tuner
