My RV slide fix
by: Anonymous

My slide would not move, motor is running fine. I took the facia of to gain access and found the a spring/filed down bolt had snapped between the motor and the gears, replaced it with a 59 cent pin and now it works perfectly.

Note from RVing Al: Yes a broken Shear Pin is one of the most common causes of slide failures. That's the good news. The bad news is that depending on the slide design, the shear pin may not be easily accessible.
