Where Can I Get Replacement Decals And Graphics For My RV?

by Rich Rykowski
(Oxford, Ct.)

Who sells replacement decals / stickers / graphics for RV's? I've made "SEVERAL" attempts to contact Fleetwood for my Wilderness camper and they've NEVER answered me back! The "leaf" logo on the stone shield is nearly gone due to fading. I'm sure it was silk screened on at the factory. I'd like to have it re-silk-screened and be able to find the leaf stickers for the side of the trailer.

Can anyone help? For a 1999, the trailer is in near perfect condition except for the exterior graphics. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich in Connecticut...........

ANSWER: Greetings Rich thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

The reason you are having a hard time getting an answer from Fleetwood on your decal dilemma is because Fleetwood no longer has a Travel Trailer Division. In March 2009 Fleetwood shut down their travel trailer division due to financial problems. In fact on May 9th, 2009 they sold their Travel Trailer Division to Northwood Manufacturing Incorporated.

I am not sure if when Northwood bought the Fleetwood Trailer Division if they also acquired parts such as graphics for older Fleetwood trailers. I would suggest that you visit Northwoods Manufacturing Incorporated’s Contact Us Page and see if they can be of any help to you.

I suggest that you also try eBay as I have seen some manufacturer specific RV Decals there.

One other thing to try is to reach out to an RV Dealership in your area and see if they have a local company they use to duplicate RV Decals or Graphics. I know that this may
be a long shot and possibly a very expensive way of getting the factory decals reproduced, but it may be your only alternative.

I would still strongly suggest that you try the eBay alternative above. If you do not find the exact Fleetwood Graphics or Decals there, you will at least have a great selection of reasonably priced alternatives Decals and Graphics that can be used to personalize your trailer.

For future reference there are protectant products on the market that if used regularly on RV Decals and Graphics can greatly extend the lifespan of the decals and graphics. The protectant that I highly recommend is 303 Aerospace Protectant. 303 Aerospace protectant prevents damage to vinyl graphics from UV rays and petroleum products, which keeps them from cracking, peeling and fading. This product is highly rated by RVers that have used it. It has received a 5 star rating from consumers on Amazon.com.

I hope the above information has been helpful to you.

Need replacement factory decals
by: Norman

I am looking for replacement factory decals for my 2017 Prime Time Fury 2910.
Does anyone have a source? The original owners did not like the color red so they took off all of the red decals but left all of the black decals along the bottom and sides.

RV Replacement Graphics Business
by: Anonymous

Some dealers and service centers and individual owners are now having good luck finding replacement graphics from rvgraphics.us

They have a lot of manufacturers and brands from several years.

They continue to add more graphic packages as well.

Most of the graphics are made using new 3M brand Scotchcal with easy to apply Controltac adhesive. Printed pieces are laminated with 3M clear protective laminate.

Came across these guys that seem to have a great variety of RV replacement decals. It can get expensive to have single decals made up (personnel experience). Best thing about this company, I believe they're from Canada. With the US dollar worth 25 points more then the Canadian, its a no brainer. Happy shopping!

Help!
by: Anonymous

I have a 2006 Montana Mountaineer limited edition 5th wheel. I have replaced the front cap decals twice, both times the decal purchased thru Keystone. The first decal, in less than a year, turned purplish/pink. Replaced again and the 2nd is now Purplish/pink. My camper has brown, gold, and silver swirls. Keystone informed me that this "color change" is due to fading. And I asked, then why are my other decals, which are original, still their normal brown, golds and silver colors. After spending a ton of money to have these decals replaced, I have decided to look for replacement graphics, not from Keystone. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Removing decals off RV's
by: Anonymous

My husband and I were taking decals off of our camper. It was very difficult to do. Then we purchased an eraser disc that attachs to a cordless drill at sherman williams auto paint division. Purchase price was about $15. 1 eraser almost did the whole trailer. Very easy to do! Good Luck!

There is a company that has been able to digitally recreate quite a few oem graphics called RVGraphics.us. When I inquired about a graphic I was told they use 3M material and gloss laminate for added protection.

Vinyl Graphics versus Painted Graphics
by: Anonymous

Hi Robin, I responded a few days ago to this blog and said I was with Performance Graphics a supplier to the RV industry out of Elkhart, Indiana but I also own a custom paint shop in the same area called CRScustom. Paint versus vinyl is a difficult decision just for the reasons you stated. I will just share with you some of what you obviously have learned through your knowledge and research but add some additional information as well. In a nutshell vinyl is made of PVC plastic and the thicker it is the more it shrinks. More expensive vinyls are actually thinner and just like your RV has accelerated deterioration and shrinkage in direct sunlight and heat which varies in extreme conditions. Paint generally has a longer lifespan but has a shortened lifespan in direct sunlight as well. Back to vinyls the reason they shrink is due to the conditioners called plasticizers drying out of the vinyls that keep them flexible as all plastics have in them. There are a couple of products such as "Frog Juice" that help extend the life of vinyls as waxes due for paint. Paint can be clear coated as you know but sometimes is not. A urethane clearcoat is always the best to use for outdoor use. Please keep me in mind for any questions for paint, bodywork, or vinyl questions for solutions-Thanks Steve Messenger

MORe RV Graphics problems
by: Gordon E

Our 2004 Keystone Mountaineer's graphics have SHRUNK! One side that faces the morning sun under the rv's storage shed has some decals that have shrunk 3/4-1 inch! Smaller decals have shrunk 1/4 to 1/2 inch! The front caps decals are fading AND shrinking! Rest of the camper is fine. Apparently the waxes I use don't protect the decals, OR they were inferior quality to start with. Have seen other KEYSTONES with their graphics totally removed. Doesn't do much for the aesthetics of the RV but at least the decals aren't ugly!

Wilderness Advantage Decals VS Painting?
by: Robyn - CA

If finding decals isn't a possibility and purchasing them as custom made is just too expensive... What type of paints would you use to paint the decals on the sides of the RV that would last? and could you use the 303 Aerospace Protectant over it to protect it or is there another clear sealer needed?
