Where Can I Get Parts For My Toyota Mini-Motorhome?

by Alene
(Lake Havasu City, Arizona)

I have a 1991 21 ft Sunrader Motorhome and the gasket material between the cab and coach has dried out and brittle. How can I remove the old material and what do I replace it with? The material I think is rubber about 1 1/2 in wide and appears to be glued on.

ANSWER: Greetings Alene thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

I am afraid that I do not have the information that you need for your Sunrader Motorhome. The Sunrader is a Mini-Motorhome on a Toyota Truck Chassis and I know that parts for these Toyota Motorhomes are hard to find. The seal between the truck and the house portion of the Motorhome may be available, but I am not sure where to steer you.

My suggestion to you is if you are interested in more information about Toyota Mini-Motorhomes you should visit Toyota Motorhomes.com. This website has all kinds of information on Toyota Mini-Motorhomes. They also have a forum where Toyota Mini-Motorhome owners can share information with each other.

I am sure that one of their forum members can steer you in the right direction on where to get the parts for your Mini-Motorhome and also help you out with instructions on how to remove the old seal and install the new seal.

The only other alternative is to take your RV to a body shop that deals with RVs and have them replace the seal.

Hope this helps.
