What Is The Weight of a 1995 Jayco 5th Wheel Trailer?

by Steve
(Michigan)

Any idea what the GVW of a 1995 Jayco Fifth Wheel with a right side slide would weigh and is it 1/2 ton towable?

ANSWER: Greetings Steve thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

Unfortunately you do not provide enough information on the trailer you are talking about; the length of the trailer or Model Number, etc. Even with that information it would be hard to find the actual weight specifications for a 1995 model.

Somewhere in your RV should be a label that has all the weight information on it. The locations of these labels vary by RV manufacturer and are sometimes hidden in closets, interior overhead storage compartments, etc. If you cannot find that label keep reading to find out what to do.

Your best bet whenever you are trying to get specs and other information for an RV is to contact the company that manufactured your RV. In your case you should Contact Jayco Incorporated. Hopefully they will be able to provide you the information you are seeking.

I would also suggest that you read the article RV and Trailer Weight Demystified which is located in the RV Lifestyle Articles Section of our website.

I hope that this helped.

me again,

My Silverado is half ton 5.3 litre towing our 24 ft, 4800 lb Jayco 5th wheel without slide out. I have seen 1995 5th wheels for sale with slide out that weigh in around 6500 with slide out. This should still be easy for half ton to tow.

Hi

we have a1995 Jayco eagle 245 fifth wheel with a dry weight slightly over 4800 lbs. Tow vehicle is 2012 Silverado, 5.3 litre. We just got it this year and we love it, as it has lots of space and bunks at back. Tows like a dream, and we average 12 to 14 mpg.

I have a 1996 27' Jayco Designer Deluxe. The nomenclature plate is located on the left side of the camper up front. It has all the info including base weight.

Comment from RVing Al: Thank you very much Art and Happy RVing.
