(Redmond Oregon)

Looking at a 1969 Shasta Strato Flyte, 18 ft tandem axle trailer. Want to tow with F-150 half ton with a 4.2 Liter V6 with an automatic trans.

ANSWER: Greetings Steve thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

I am afraid that I do not know the weight of the Shasta Travel Trailer you are looking at. I am going to assume that you already asked the current owner or the dealership that is selling this travel trailer for the information.

You might try contacting Coachmen Recreational Vehicle Company, LLC which is a division of Forest River, Inc. Coachmen manufactures Shasta Travel Trailers. Their contact information is below.

With the age of your Travel Trailer do not be surprised if they do not have this information, but it is still worth a shot.

I will also open up this question to our visitore in case one of them might have this information.

by: Scott schulte

The 1/2 truck is too light. I have a 1981 Chevy 3/4 ton. That poll's my 1970 Shasta Strato Flyte 20'. And the trailer weight is 2878 from factory. I am still trying to find out more about my Shasta trailer. they are a good looking trailer the wings are not in bad shape. but cool
