I hooked up 220 volts to a 110 volt Gulfstream Travel Trailer, I have 110 volts on the bottom side of each breaker but no power at appliances or lights. What do I do?

ANSWER: Hi Ross I am afraid that I am not going to be the bearer of good news here. The first thing you need to do is get someone who is knowledgeable about RV electrical systems to come out and inspect your trailer.

Without being able to check out your electrical system, I could not begin to tell you what may or may not have been damaged by the 220-volt power.

Potentially you could have damaged some of your appliances such as the Microwave, Refrigerator, TV, DVD Player, etc. The Converter/Charger is most likely damaged as well.

Once you get it inspected you will have a better idea of what has been damaged. Once you get this information, you should contact your insurance company and see if they will cover the cost of the repairs.

Sorry I could not be of more help.
