My RV's Satellite System Will Not Receive Dish Network 119

by Mare Handy

I have a TRACVISION satellite on my 2001 Monaco Diplomat.

When I do a check switch test it tells me I cannot connect to satellite 119. My main TV in the front. I use DISH NETWORK and they assisted me in testing the problem. I am connected to satellite 110. In the back area I have a TV and it is receiving 110 perfectly, but not 119. How can I check the connections?

ANSWER: Greetings Mare thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

Based on the information you have given me I cannot even make an educated guess on why your satellite system will not receive 119. I am not sure based on your description whether this is something that just started happening, etc. I am not even sure what TracVison Antenna System you are using.

This is one of those times that you are going to have to have an expert look at your satellite system to see what exactly is going on with the whole system. The problem could be something as simple as an obstruction that is not allowing your antenna to acquire a signal, etc.

While the satellite tech is there I would suggest that you have them walk you through some of the troubleshooting tips you can use in the future if this problem occurs again.

I am sorry that I could not be of more help.
