How to Watch Over The Air TV Channels in an Older RV

I have a 2004 R-Vision Trail Bay. So since I cannot pick up any channels on my TV's which are only a few years old, do I need to have a bigger antenna put on my trailer, or do I need a digital converter box?

KZ cable Channel search fixed
by: Anonymous

Through this post I discovered that the power boost button had to be turned off to scan cable channels. I went a whole year without cable in our RV. Now it scans and finds Channels every time ! Only press or turn on the power booster if your scanning Air channels without cable connections only.

Hope this helps

I had this problem until one person at a KOA campground told me to turn off my antenna booster. She showed me in my RV where it was. I didn't know i had one. It's usually right where your TV that came with your RV's power is plugged in. There is a little button to push to turn off this booster which if you are only going to use 'Air" channels and not use the cable channels at the RV park works great. After I turned it off I was able to change the setting on my TV to 'cable' and do a channel search. Hope this helps

Digital reception

The picture for digital television is much better than the analog, but its signal is more sensitive and your current antenna may not be able to do the job.
I assume that most campgrounds are not very close to the transmission station antennas so you will have to get something stronger to pick up the signal.
