How can I stop water from coming out of the city water connection when my travel trailer's water pump is on?

I have a new Rockwood Roo and went boondock camping for the first time. When I turn the water pump switch on, water comes out the faucets but water is also being pushed out the city water hook up hole, and a LOT of water gets wasted that way. Any suggestions?

ANSWER: Greetings thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

What you need is a Water Inlet Plug.icon This should solve your leaking water problem.

If you have a filter screen in your city water connection make sure it is dome shape out or it will hold the one way valve open.
