Cannot Find Controls for RV's Roof Air Conditioner

by David
(Baldwinsville, NY)

I have a 2001 Wildwood RV trailer, it has a roof top AC unit, but we are not able to find any controls to use it.

ANSWER: Greetings David thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

In all likelihood your RV's Air Conditioner and Furnace are both controlled by a Thermostat Unit located on one of the walls of your RV.

On the thermostat itself you may find a switch to change it to Air Conditioner Mode so that you can set the temperature and run the AC. On some newer Thermostats you may have to access the main menu screen to set the Thermostat to Air Conditioner Mode.
