Allegro Bus Motor Home Screen Door Damaged Latch

by Fred
(Kansas City)

Where can I order replacement parts for the broken latch on my 2007 Allegro Bus. This is a poor design and apparently has resulted in numerous problems due to failure to latch screen door properly before closing entrance door.

ANSWER: Greetings Fred thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

Since your Allegro Bus is manufactured by Tiffin Motorhomes, your best bet is to visit the Tiffin Motorhomes Dealer and Service Locator Page and look for a service center in your area. Call the service center and they should be able to order the part for you.

I hope this helped.

Broke Screen Door Latch
by: Anonymous

We have a 2002 Damon Intruder. About six months ago, the screen door latch and handle would no longer function. After disassembling the latch, I saw that the spring that operated the latch had broken, leaving the latch useless. I looked for a replacement spring to no avail. I then priced a replacement latch, which I found unreasonable. Everything else was fine. I saw no reason to purchase the entire latch when all it needed was a small spring. So, I had the bright idea to fashion my own spring from a paper clip. Six months later the latch is working fine and it cost me nothing. The old saying, 'where there's a will, there's a way' rang true in this case...
